The Linux Documentation Project ( http://metalab.unc.edu/LDP/) has an extensive collection of links and documents, including the Linux HOWTOs ( http://metalab.unc.edu/LDP/HOWTO/), which provide information on a number of Linux issues, such as configuring networks, Linux-compatible hardware, and setting up a PPP link to the Internet.
